Next US agricultural show AG CONNECT Expo in Kansas City from 29 to 31 January 2013

Changeover to biennial cycle completed – exhibitor canvassing starts

(DLG International). The US agricultural show AG CONNECT Expo has now completed preparations for the change to a biennial cycle. As the organizer, the North America based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) for agriculture and forestry as well as for construction, mining and utility reports, the next AG CONNECT Expo will be held in Kansas City (Missouri) from 29 to 31 January 2013. This means that AG CONNECT Expo will now take place alternating with Agritechnica in Hanover, the world’s largest exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment, organized in November of every uneven year by DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society). AEM and DLG International, a subsidiary of DLG, agreed a strategic alliance in 2009. The objective of this cooperation, designed for the long term, is to coordinate the dates of the leading exhibitions AG CONNECT Expo and Agritechnica in such a way that as many farmers as possible are able to access brand-new technological developments.

After just two sessions, AG CONNECT Expo has developed to become an international platform for agricultural machinery and equipment in North America. Almost 400 companies took part in the last event, including many manufacturers from Germany, Italy, Argentina and Brazil. The programme was supplemented by conferences, lectures and seminars. Altogether 11,500 farmers and other experts from 60 countries used the broad exhibition programme to share information and for an international exchange of opinion and experience. The very broadly based farming sector in North America is an extremely important factor in the national economy. AG CONNECT Expo allows farmers access to the very latest know-how and most recent technologies. Conversely, Europe’s agriculture profits from AG CONNECT Expo, which functions as an optimal gateway to this key market.

Exhibitor canvassing for the event in January 2013 has now started with the dispatch of registration documents. Any potential exhibitors in Germany and from Western and Eastern Europe should contact DLG International, the strategic partner of AG CONNECT Expo.
