The 17th edition of the AGRARIA International Fair for Agriculture, Food Industry and Packaging, ended on a successful note, confirming its position as the top agriculture trade event for Transylvania and one of the largest in Romania. Despite Romania’s economic challenges, some 20,000 visitors attended the show, which focuses on agri-machinery, livestock technologies and gardening implements and services. Visiting the show too were several high-ranking officials, such as the EU Commissioner for Agriculture, Dacian Ciolos and Romanian Agriculture Minister Valeriu Tabara. [more...]

(DLG International): Tarla Günleri, a DLG Internatoinal field day event, returned to Turkey for the second time this time in Adana. This follows a successful premiere last year in Tekirdag, in the Thrace region. Tarla Günleri 2011 (DLG-ÖCP Tarla Günleri) saw an increase in the number of exhibitors by 30 percent, with a total of 133 exhibitors presenting a wide range of crop production solutions. (DLG International) From 12 to 14 April 2011 the International Exhibition for Animal Husbandry and Breeding - AgroFarm - opened its doors for the fifth time, enabling some 230 exhibitors from 19 countries to showcase their extensive range of products for management, breeding, feeding, animal health as well as primary processing. The strongest country participation came from Germany, which had 37 companies taking part. France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy and the US all substantially increased their presence at this AgroFarm edition. Some 8,930 expert visitors (+6 percent in comparison with 2010) were able to view the latest innovations from the cattle, pig, poultry, sheep, goat and rabbit production sectors. [more...]

BioEnergy Italy: New Exhibition for Renewable Energy
DLG (German Agricultural Society) and CremonaFiere S.p.a. has agreed on a strategic partnership in the field of bioenergy and renewable energy. This partnership was announced on October 29, 2010 during „The International Dairy Cattle Show“ held in Cremona. The first result of this new alliance is the exhibition „BioEnergy Italy – Biomass and Renewables“, jointly organized by DLG International, a subsidiary of DLG, and CremonaFiere from March 18-20, 2011. Latest technologies for farming and animal production – machine trials, animal show and demonstration plots enthral 35,000 visitors and 440 exhibitors AgroTech Minikowo came to another successful end on 4 July, with 440 exhibitors presenting the latest in crop and livestock farming technology on a 95,000 sq m site. New location draws 39,000 visitors with key companies present; plans underway for National Holstein show in 2012 Opolagra welcomed a new record with 39,000 farming professionals and a brand new exhibition site for the leading agricultural trade event in southwest Poland. The annual exhibition, which began in the mid-90s and is into its seventh year with DLG, has already become something of a tradition among the agriculture community in Poland and the central European region. Frankfurt, Germany, 4 June, 2010 - Drawing more than 26,000 visitors from all over Turkey and from abroad, the inaugural DLG-ÖÇP Turkish Field Days (Tarla Günleri 2010) have already put its mark as one of the country's most relevant agriculture shows. This year’s debut event, which kicked-off on May 27 till 30 in Karaevli near Tekirda in Thracia, 150 km west of Istanbul, featured a 25 ha field area, where breeding, fertilizers and pesticides companies had installed plots, presenting the effects of their products on different crops. Frankfurt, Germany, 19 May 2010 - The agricultural exhibition Agraria 2010 opened its gates in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) from 5 to 9 May. Both the exhibitors and the organiser, DLG Intermarketing – a subsidiary of DLG International, were satisfied with the course of the exhibition and the number and background of the visitors. Some 18,000 farmers and agribusiness specialists used Agraria to gather information provided by 265 exhibitors from twelve countries about suitable machinery and equipment, methods and inputs for plant and animal production. This was the conclusion drawn by the organisers, DLG International GmbH, a subsidiary of the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society), and the Agricultural Sector of AREC (Moscow). From 26 to 28 May 2010 altogether 222 exhibitors from 19 countries came together at the VVC exhibition grounds in Moscow to present modern genetics for breeding, as well as animal housing construction systems and modern production methods for cattle, pig, poultry, goat and sheep husbandry and rabbit keeping. Frankfurt, Germany 22 March, 2009 - EuroTier organizer DLG on 16 March signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the China Animal Agriculture Association (CAAA) for a landmark project that will enhance German-Chinese cooperation in China’s growing bioenergy market.
